Senior Collegiate All Stars
2008 Spring Training Baseball Games, Golden Baseball League
___________________________________________________________________________________________
The Senior Collegiate All Star Team is looking for top notch college baseball players (players that have recently completed their senior season), and that are looking to continue their career at the professional level. Players chosen for the team will gain exposure by playing spring training games in the Golden Baseball League. Games will be played against the Long Beach Armada, (managed by former major leaguer Jeffrey Lynnard), and the Orange Coast Flyers (managed by Hall of Famer Gary Carter). Players that showcase well will gain exposure and may be chosen to play professional baseball. Head coach Rich Aldrete and GM Nathan Trosky have over 15 years of professional baseball experience as players, coaches, and as scouts in the United States and in Europe, and their#1 goal is to give ball players an opportunity to keep their dreams alive. Over the past 10 years they have made professional baseball a reality for numerous players they’ve coached and mentored. Amongst the 2007 Senior Collegiate All Star team, 5 players signed professional baseball contracts, and this year we plan to continue the tradition. European Baseball Connection: Head Coach Rich Aldrete and GM Nathan Trosky have coached baseball professionally in Europe and have sent players to play overseas for the past 10 years. (Senior Collegiate players will be considered to play professional baseball in the US as well as in Europe).
